Database management systems

d.velop software requires a database client that is compatible with the database server used. Please refer to the application documentation for details on the required type of database client. For information on compatibility between database client and database server, please refer to the documentation of the respective provider. Please make sure that the most current compatible version of the database client is installed.

d.velop software is compatible with the Standard and Enterprise editions of Oracle and SQL Server. Please refer to the respective DBMS providers' websites for more information regarding the differences between the editions. The Enterprise editions provide advanced features such as 24/7 operation, online backups and index rebuilds during operation.

Individual applications also support IBM Db2 on Linux, Unix and Windows. Due to the discontinuation of support for IBM Db2, no further details will be given here.
