You need d.3 server version 8 or higher. If you have an older version of d.3 server, you must first update this version.

If you are using d.ecs storage manager, you need at least version 3 to use the export API.

All users in your d.velop documents (on-premises) system have a unique e-mail address for logging into the cloud system.

We recommend performing a UTF-8 migration in the source system to avoid migration errors and data inconsistencies.

We recommend that you run the fillEmptyHashValues script in the source system before the cloud migration. The script generates missing hash values. By doing so, you make it possible to check the hash values during the migration. You can obtain the script from d.velop support.

We recommend that you run the applications d.3 update checker, d.3 database checker and d.3 document checker in the source system and fix any errors found. If you want to migrate a d.velop documents system, the document structure (document tree) migration for version 8 must first be completed.

We recommend defining the deletion periods for document types. Delete documents whose deletion period has already expired or exclude these documents from the cloud migration. This will minimize the time required for the cloud migration.
