Setup and effect of groupings in the properties area

You have the possibility to configure the displayed properties of a structure element in d.velop composer. This includes:

  • Sorting of properties.

  • Displaying and hiding properties.

  • Grouping of properties.

Group the properties of a structure node to give center users a better overview. Hide unnecessary properties for this structure element.

In the example, the new groupings "Details" and "Basic information" are added to a structure element and these are filled with existing properties.

This is how it works

  1. Open d.velop composer.

  2. Select the structure item you want to configure in the Structure > Element relationships > Element area.

  3. Click the + under Properties of the selected node > Definition display in properties pane (Preview).

The dialog Define view for details (properties pane) opens.

  4. Assign a name for the view.

  5. Assign a name for the new group.

  6. Define a new group in the group definitions via the + symbol.

    In the example:

    • "Details"

    • "Basic information"

  7. If necessary, change the order of the groups in the Properties pane by drag and drop.

  8. Assign the desired properties to the corresponding group using drag and drop.

  9. Assign all properties that are not to be displayed to the default group Hidden. All properties remaining in the default group Ungrouped are displayed in center in this group.

  10. Apply the changed group definitions.

  11. Save the structure.

Effect of configured groupings in the properties area

You have the possibility to use groupings in the properties area of an item. These groupings can be set up by your administration for each item.

These configurations can be controlled:

  • Grouped properties are displayed in the respective group.

  • Ungrouped properties are displayed in the Ungrouped group.

  • Hidden properties are not displayed.

This is how it works

  1. If necessary, refresh center to load the latest configurations.

  2. Select the desired property group.

    In the example:

    • Details

    • Basic info

  3. Expand the group by clicking on it.
