Setup and effect of groupings in structure nodes

For a better overview, you can combine several structure nodes into one group. The group is displayed as a parent structure node. The groups are displayed in center both in the structure and content areas and in the tabs.

In the example, the structure nodes "Maintenance" and "Technical information" are combined to form the new structure node "Technology". After that, the "Technology" tab appears in center. This tab can be opened. When it is opened, the individual tabs "Maintenance" and "Technical information" appear.

This is how it works

  1. Open d.velop composer.

  2. Select the first structure node that is child of it.

Here: "Maintenance" in the Structure > Element relationships > Design area.

  3. Specify the name for the new tab to be created.

Here: "Technology" in the Properties area of the selected node > Group name.

  4. Select the next child structure node.

Here: "Technical information" in the Structure > Element relationships > Design area.

  5. Select the name of the desired tab from the drop-down menu.

Here: "Technology" under Properties area of the selected node > Group name.

  6. Save the configuration.
