Defining the object mapping

In the object mapping, define which attributes of a Salesforce object are used to search for documents and/or which attributes are available as metadata when uploading a file. You want to spawn a mapping or several mappings.

This is how it works

  1. OpenSystem Configuration > Object Mapping.

  2. Select an object for which you want to create the mapping.

  3. Click Add Mapping.

  4. Select the source for the object under Select Source Field. The source can be, for example, the object itself, the user logged in at the time of the component use or a special field (static value, file name or object type).

  5. Then select the transfer field. This field is used within the DMS to allow the assignment to a DMS-internal field.

  6. If necessary, define further properties, such as the tag as search attributes.

  7. Finally, click Add mapping.
