Configuring the database
The first area that needs to be configured after successful installation is the connection to the respective database management system.
Note
Use the database created in advance. Make sure that the TCP port of your system has been opened and your database user has no umlauts in the password.
This is how it works
Open the configuration of the database.
Enter the database configuration parameters (you have entered a large amount of data when setting up the dbs | case manager database).
Save the data by clicking on Save.
Note
Before the data is saved, a connection is established with this data against the database. If an error is generated, you can find further information in the log viewer.
When dbs | case manager is reinstalled, a new database schema is created within the prepared database.
Configuration of a Microsoft SQL Server with instance name
In the Hostname field, add \<Instance name> (without the quotation marks and replace <Instance name>) after the name of the database computer. As a rule, you must also specify port 0.
