With the current Q1 2026 release, numerous new features are being introduced once again that make your daily work significantly clearer, more flexible, and more efficient.
In particular, Task Management and d.velop process studio have received a comprehensive upgrade to their user interfaces. In a hybrid scenario, you now also benefit from additional exciting features, such as the new integration of d.velop sign directly into d.velop documents or the use of d.velop pilot within process studio.
Here is a summary of the key highlights of the Q1 2026 release for you
Significantly enhanced Task Management
Custom layouts in Task Management
You can now also work with layouts in Task Management. This allows you to tailor the view to your individual requirements and keep relevant information in focus more quickly. Simply activate the feature via the “Customize view” menu.
Greater flexibility in the task processing table view
Customize columns individually, group tasks according to your needs, and automatically optimize column widths. With “Reset current view,” you can restore the default view at any time.
Deleting tasks
Tasks you have created yourself can now be deleted directly within the interface — either by you or by an administrator. This simplifies cleanup and ensures a clear and well-structured task overview.
Editing tasks
Tasks that have already been created can now be conveniently edited at a later time. This makes corrections easier and ensures that tasks always remain up to date.

Enhancements to document viewing and editing functions (e.g., redacting content)
The commenting features have been comprehensively optimized. Improved write protection, new options for merging and redacting content, and UI adjustments provide greater control, clarity, and accessibility.

Greater control when protecting sensitive information
With the new redaction feature, you can selectively black out confidential content. The feature is centrally activated by the administration and applies system-wide. This ensures consistent standards and enhances data security.

New interface and new possibilities in d.velop process studio
The latest release of d.velop process studio includes numerous improvements for greater clarity, flexibility and efficiency.
Starting with the current release, Operaton is used as standard, providing a modern technological basis, improved performance and future-proof further development of the process platform.
Automation as a technical bracket With the new automation features in d.velop process studio, related components such as processes, forms, scripts and business rules can be grouped together in a structured manner. This creates a higher-level bracket that clearly organises complex scenarios.
Instead of distributed individual modules, you benefit from a clear technical structure that creates transparency and facilitates further development.

New studio with full-screen mode
The d.velop process studio has been further developed in terms of both appearance and functionality. The new full-screen mode significantly enlarges the workspace and allows for greater focus when editing components.
AI assistant for greater efficiency in forms and scripts The new AI assistant in d.velop process studio supports you directly in the form and script editor. This allows you to create and optimise components faster and more efficiently with intelligent help exactly where you need it.
Prerequisite: d.velop pilot in a hybrid client is required for use. No further configurations are necessary.

Execute actions in the correct user context (impersonation)
In future, actions can be executed specifically in the correct technical user context. This increases transparency and security and ensures clear, traceable logging of changes.
Integrate files into processes more easily
File components can now be linked to process variables much more easily. Manual conversions and error-prone configurations are no longer necessary. This enables faster implementation and increases the stability of your processes.
Various new process templates
To provide you with even better support for mapping processes in Process Studio, we are constantly expanding our process templates. You can find the collection of these here in the ‘Template library’: https://help.d-velop.de/process-studio/de/categories/template-library
Further improvements
• Ctrl + Z to undo changes in forms
• SBOM downloads for greater transparency and compliance
• Saving filter and sort settings in overview lists
• Meaningful title in browser tab (shows the current Studio area)
Weitere Neuerungen und Veränderungen:
External audit confirms functions for GoBD-compliant migration
d.velop cloud migration has been comprehensively audited and certified by the independent auditor comdatis. The audit confirmed the complete and correct migration of data, the proper handling of errors and a traceable development process.
The solution thus meets the GoBD requirements for migrations to the d.velop documents cloud and provides a tested basis for legally compliant cloud migration projects carried out by d.velop or certified partners.
Improvements to our mobile app, d.velop Mobile
In previous releases, the use of d.velop mobile has been continuously developed and improved. These optimisations now also affect other functions. Faster searches, clearer hit lists and simplified mobile operation, for example for taking files offline, ensure noticeably more efficient working on the go.
Signing directly in d.velop documents – new integration!
With the new integration of d.velop sign, you can start, manage and complete signature processes entirely within d.velop documents. This means that numerous functions that were previously reserved for the standalone product are now available directly in the familiar interface.
Signatures can be more easily integrated into existing workflows and executed without media discontinuity. This reduces switching between applications, increases transparency in the process and ensures noticeable efficiency gains in everyday work.
The integration is suitable for quick signatures, signature folders and structured signature processes within digital workflows.
Required:
To use this feature, d.velop documents must be installed in a hybrid client. In some clients, the DMS extension must be manually activated or updated in order for the context action for the new integrated signature function to be visible. This only applies to clients that are not running the current version.

Protected mode for the transport system
A protected mode for the transport system has been introduced to ensure the consistency of configuration data between a source and a target system. For further details, please refer to the documentation at: d.3 admin > General explanations > Notes on the transport system
End of support for the Inbox app (on-premises)
With the release of Current Q1.2026 Annual 2026, support for the Inbox app in on-premises environments will end. The application will be removed from the d.velop software manager as part of this process.
As a modern and fully supported alternative, the Task App has been available since 2021 as a web front end for processing tasks. It offers a future-proof and continuously developed interface for task management.
The server-side creation of d.3 mailbox messages remains unchanged. Using a corresponding server option, these messages can be made available as tasks in the Task App in future.
