Releases & Updates, General·June 12, 2025

After an extensive feedback and discovery phase, we are pleased to present two changes in the operation of d.velop documents.

Overflow menus in result lists

From now on, the overflow menu is available in the cloud provision in result lists as well as in document lists within files. When you move the cursor over a document, a small, context-sensitive overflow menu appears, providing quick access to three frequently used functions:

  • View
  • Document details or File details
  • Edit properties

The function for editing properties in particular was identified as a frequent use case in numerous discussions. If you select Edit properties, the respective document or file is opened directly for editing. When you finish editing, the editing view is closed and the results or document list is displayed again.

New and categorized context actions

Since the d.velop SUMMIT (05.06.2025) you can activate new context actions in the cloud deployment via a feature toggle in the configuration. In the on-premises version, the new context actions are expected to be available with the current release 2025.Q3.

The d.velop software contains more and more functions and options. With the help of a categorization, we would like to present the multitude of functions more clearly.
