With the new Documents Experience, working with d.velop documents becomes noticeably faster and more intuitive. A more powerful centralized Search, streamlined workflows, and a modern UI design help you find information more efficiently and process it immediately.
You have the choice: You can try out the new experience right now or continue working in the environment you’re used to. If you decide to use the new experience, you can also actively contribute to its further development. Your feedback helps us improve the Documents Experience early on and tailor it to your needs—we look forward to your suggestions.
Please note that the Documents Experience is currently available only for use in the T Cloud.
Work More Efficiently with Improved Search
An essential part of the new features is the redesigned global search. It’s located at the top of the header and is therefore easily accessible. Search queries are processed significantly faster, and results can be sorted by relevance. In addition, users will soon be able to search multiple sources simultaneously.
The new search offers clear advantages in day-to-day work:
- Less time spent thanks to a faster, more efficient search
- Better navigation—even with large volumes of data across different categories
- Relevant content is brought directly into focus
Revised workflows: Edit documents and details directly in the preview
The interaction between the result list and the preview has also been optimized. You can now view and edit document details directly from the result list. This gives you a quick overview without having to leave the result view.
At the same time, interacting with documents has been simplified: You can add comments, highlights, or drawings to documents right in the preview. This reduces the need to switch between views, allowing you to work more efficiently.
Modern Design
In addition to functional improvements, the design has also been fundamentally revamped. The new Documents Experience features a modern, minimalist layout that deliberately focuses on the essentials:
- Less visual clutter
- Clearer structures
- Faster access to features
Your Feedback as a Key Component
The new Documents Experience is still in an early stage of development. Some features, such as favoriting, watching, or linking documents, are currently still under development.
Your feedback plays a central role in tailoring d.velop documents to your specific needs and continuously improving them. Improvements will thus be implemented quickly and iteratively.
You can share your feedback in the following ways:
- Via the feedback form: To open the form, click the question mark icon in d.velop documents and then click Feedback. The form is anonymous. However, you can optionally enter an e-mail address in case we need to follow up with you.
- The first time you disable the new Documents Experience, a dialog box will appear where you can enter your feedback.
- In a one-on-one meeting: You can schedule the meeting via the booking portal.
