More features for d.velop inbound: Features from d.3 smart explorer now available in the webclient

News, Releases & Updates·April 14, 2026

With the transition to the web client, d.velop inbound has been systematically further developed. Based on feedback from customers and partners, key features from d.3 smart explorer are now available directly in the web client.

Below, we present the most important new features.

Rearrange documents

You can select multiple documents that have already been archived and use them to create a new document.

To do this, select up to 50 documents from the results and open the Rearrange documents action. After selecting the import profile, the selected documents are transferred to an inbound batch and can be further processed in edit mode.

Regardless of your customizations, this will always create a new document. The original documents remain unchanged and are not updated.

Requirements and notes

  • You can open and edit up to 50 documents simultaneously.
  • The selected documents are opened in edit mode regardless of their current status.

Availability

  • Current: 1.24.0 (since December 1, 2025)
  • Annual 2026
  • Cloud: #135 (since November 13, 2025)

Index multiple documents simultaneously

With the new indexing feature, you can edit multiple archived documents simultaneously.

To do this, select the required documents from the results and start the Index documents action. This will take you directly to indexing mode, where you can add the relevant metadata and update the documents. Once indexing is complete, you will be automatically redirected back to the results.

Availability

  • Current: Release 1.25.0 (since March 1, 2026)
  • Annual 2026
  • Cloud: #140 (since January 14, 2026)

Renaming an existing feature

The previous context action Open documents in inbound suite has been renamed to Add or modify pages.

The feature itself did not change: You can still edit or add pages to an existing document. As before, the action is only available for individual documents.

Availability

  • Cloud: #140 (since January 14, 2026)
