With the Current 2026.Q3 release, you can version forms in the same way as processes and business rules. In the viewer, you can targetedly display individual layers of a PDF document. A new support tool also captures diagnostic data for support cases.
Additionally, there are improvements in task management, in documents collector, and in the system base. This article summarizes everything. The three highlights are presented first, followed by details by application area.
Highlight 1: Full Versioning for Forms
Forms receive the same versioning as processes and business rules. Every published version remains viewable, downloadable, and restorable until you delete the component yourself. This allows you to return to an earlier version at any time.
The new Save & Publish button seperates the draft from the live version. Preview and testing are always performed on the current draft. Your departments can continue working on the form without changes taking effect immediately in production. You determine the release time.
In d.velop process studio, you can now view component versions for processes, business rules, and forms in the same view.
Versioning for scripts is not included in this release.
Highlight 2: Show and Hide Individual PDF Layers
In the Viewer, you'll find the new Show Layers tab in the left sidebar. Use it to show or hide individual layers of a PDF document. For technical drawings, this allows you to selectively view only the layer you currently need, rather than having all the information overlaid.
Highlight 3: Support Tool d.ecs monitor agent
As of the Current 2026.Q3 release, you can provide diagnostic data in a single run. Previously, gathering this data has taken up most of the preparation time: accessing various systems, searching for configuration files, collecting log files, and checking version statuses. If any information is missing, this results in additional coordination loops with support.
A tool now takes over this task. On every computer where you install d.velop software via the d.velop software manager, d.ecs monitor agent is automatically installed as a base component. No separate deployment is required. The agent collects diagnostic data locally and makes it available to the calling process, even if that process is running on another computer on the network.

What's New in Task Management and Processes
Task Management in d.ecs task (Version 2.18.0)
In the task table, you can now sort by multiple criteria at the same time, helping you maintain an overview even in extensive task lists.
For administration and development projects, the following options are also available:
- When opening Layout Management, you will now only see the task management layouts.
- Manually claiming or unclaiming a task triggers a separate event for d.velop actions. This event indicates whether the action was a claim or an unclaim, along with the current task information. This allows you to build your own automations based on assignments. The event is disabled by default and can be enabled in the task management configuration.
- Apps now provide actions for editing multiple tasks. Users can use these to edit similar tasks in a single step.
- You can change the sandbox properties for embedded, external forms and thus customize the embedding to meet your security requirements.
- The DLL for Windows authentication via SSPI for Microsoft SQL Server is now included in the release.
In addition, for the APIs:
- You can use new features for registering and deleting custom multi-context actions.
- There is an extended validation for custom multi-context actions, allowing you to filter multi-context actions specifically to tasks that meet defined criteria and offer users only relevant actions.
- You can search for tasks by ID using the task search API.
- You can forward a task as a public API, allowing you to initiate forwardings even from your own applications.
d.velop process studio (Version 1.3.0)
Press CTRL+S to save the content directly in the d.velop process studio apps.
Starting with this release, you can configure AI agents in d.velop process studio for use in processes.
Form Designer in d.velop forms (Version 1.13.0 or 1.13.1)
Two new components have been added to the Form Designer.
With the Link Card, you can create portal forms that offer tiles for navigating to other forms or systems. This provides users with a single entry point instead of a collection of individual links.
The Action Button brings actions into the form. Previously, actions could only be used within processes or routines. Now you can select them directly in forms and link them to form components in a no-code style. A linting feature helps you use action calls without knowing the endpoint.
When mapping data in forms, you can now also work with process variables of the Object type. Via mapping, you can access the contents of object variables purely through configuration.
Process Execution in d.velop process (Version 1.22.0)
In process monitoring, the ability to move individual process tokens was extended. You can now administratively complete user steps, as well as pending service calls or actions. You can also move a process token even if it is in an error state. This allows you to resume blocked process instances yourself.
A dedicated process step is available for integrating d.velop pilot agents into processes.
Process Modeling in d.velop process modeler (Version 1.14.0)
You now define a descriptive name for the respective process instance, using the process’s initial variables. In process monitoring, this allows you to identify an instance by its content rather than by a technical identifier.
For a user task in the process, you also specify a separate subject that differs from the name of the user step. The task list then shows what the task is about, rather than the name of the step in the model.
The mapping dialog for objects has been enhanced with a few minor features. Action and event descriptions are now displayed in the process modeling environment, making them immediately available during modeling.
E-Mail Dispatch via the Messaging App
Going forward, we will send email notifications about tasks and process errors via the messaging app instead of the notification app. This applies to task management and the process engine and expands your control options in three ways.
The notification language is now based on the respective user account. This eliminates the need for administrators to manually set a specific language for processes and tasks. Colleagues with different language settings will receive notifications in their own language without any additional maintenance effort.
Important for Hybrid Operations:
If you run d.velop process studio or task management from d.velop cloud together with an on-premises version older than 2026.Q2 (including Annual 2026), you should also use the messaging app from the d.velop cloud.

New Features in d.velop records management
1. Feature: Dossier closure order for multiple files in a process
Via list selection, multiple files can be set to file closure order within a process. The process matches the process used when setting a file closure order for a single file.
2. Feature: Administrative moving of files
You can use the feature starting September 1 on-premise with the Current 2026.Q3 release (App Version 1.3.0). In the Cloud the release of the Feature is expected next week.
The role Move Files allows users to move files without being a member of the lead organizational unit.
New features for sharing documents
When sharing dependent files/documents (PDF renditions) with external parties or as email attachments, the generated PDF/A rendition can also be shared.
The interfaces in the Share app (on-premises) and Collaboration app (hybrid/cloud) for sharing documents have been redesigned and now offer a choice between the original document and the PDF rendition.
What's New in Documents Collector
In the documents collector, you can now see a document preview in the page thumbnails. The interface can be resized, allowing you to enlarge the preview and read the document pages more easily.
Further improvements:
- You can select or deselect all notes at once.
- If the “Add Notes” option is disabled, the application will notify you that the notes will not be exported.
- By default, templates are visible only to the person who created them. You can then explicitly share them with all users.
- If errors occur during the export, you as the exporting user will receive an email with a descriptive error message. This allows you to identify the cause immediately.
What's New in System Base and Operation
d.velop software manager
With every system change, the application ensures that the core system components are available. Starting with this release, these components also include d.ecs monitor agent (see Highlight 3).
Identity Provider
You can now deactivate user account providers in the provider configuration, so they can no longer be used. This allows you to take providers that are no longer needed out of service without deleting the configuration.
New Features for Hybrid Operations: d.velop pages on AWS
On hybrid systems, download the d.velop pages configuration and import it into d.3admin. You will then have access to the Office Documents category, just as in the cloud version. You can grant users permission to create pages.
What you can share with your users
These new features are available immediately after the update without any configuration and are ideal for briefly informing your departments:
- Show and hide individual PDF layers in the viewer using the Show Layers tab
- Document preview in page thumbnails and a larger preview in the document collector
- Descriptive error messages via email for failed exports
- Multiple sorting options in the task table
- Meaningful subject lines for user tasks as soon as your process managers enter them
