Changes to d.velop cloud login

Releases & Updates·December 4, 2024

What is happening?

As part of the further development, changes to d.velop cloud login are necessary. In the future, the login will be split into two logical steps: First, you enter your e-mail address and then, in a separate step, your password.

You may think that this has always been the case and that it is correct. However, in the future, d.velop cloud login will perform a check between these two entries to see which providers can be used to log in. Sometimes there are further login options for the entered e-mail address or domain. Or certain providers are intended for this e-mail address. In these cases, the password is not requested, but instead the user is forwarded directly to the other provider or a selection of login options is displayed.

This checking and forwarding has not yet been implemented, so the password is requested as usual in the second step.

What do I need to consider?

We assume that there are existing implementations by partners and app builders that are not immediately compatible with the new logic. We would like to give you enough time to react to these changes before the status reaches the QA stage.

When is this change planned?

Due to technical issues, no specific date has yet been set for the change in the QA stage and the productive channel.

How do I test this and who can answer my questions?

If you have any questions regarding testing etc., please contact Bernd Rudde (bernd.rudde@d-velop.de).
